The Zeiss Milvus 50mm f/1.4 offers excellent build quality with a dense, metal construction and smooth manual focus. Optically, it delivers great corner sharpness and well-controlled chromatic aberration, though it is not the sharpest lens wide open. It produces pleasing bokeh and natural rendering, ideal for portraits. However, it is heavy (922g) and manual focus only. It suits photographers who value build and rendering over ultimate sharpness and autofocus.
