The Voigtlander Nokton 42.5mm f/0.95 is a manual focus Micro Four Thirds lens offering an ultra-fast f/0.95 aperture for shallow depth of field and a full-frame look. It has solid all-metal build and smooth focus ring, but is heavy and lacks weather sealing. Optically, it is relatively sharp wide open and very sharp stopped down, with gorgeous bokeh at close distances. However, wide open it shows softness, loss of contrast, vignetting, and chromatic aberration; bokeh can be busy at longer distances. It suits hobbyists and filmmakers who enjoy deliberate shooting, but not professionals who need reliability.
