Overview

The Viltrox AF 50mm F1.4 Pro offers excellent center sharpness wide open, with very good borders by f/2.8. Build is robust metal with weather sealing and a de-clickable aperture ring, but it's heavy at ~800g. Flare and ghosting can be an issue, especially at f/1.4. Autofocus is fast and quiet via dual HyperVCM motor. It suits photographers seeking pro-grade build and sharpness at a budget price ($549), but its weight and flare may deter some.
