The Viltrox AF 35mm F1.2 Lab is a high-end prime with exceptional sharpness and low distortion (0.57% pincushion, negligible per Photographylife). Its optical performance is among the best for 35mm lenses, with good chromatic aberration control. The lens is heavy (910g) and all-metal, weather-sealed. The original version had a divisive OLED display and control ring, but the 'N' version replaces these with a traditional aperture ring, improving handling. Autofocus is fast and accurate, with improved algorithms in the N version. It suits photographers who prioritize optical quality over portability and are willing to carry a large lens.
