However, image quality degrades below 100mm. Build quality is criticized as plastic and fragile, though it is affordable used. Autofocus works on many bodies but may hunt or produce errors with some combinations. It loses one stop of light. Best suited for users needing extra reach on compatible telephoto lenses, but not for wide-angle use.
