    The Sony E 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 PZ OSS II is a compact, lightweight kit lens with improved image quality over its predecessor. Optically, it offers excellent central sharpness at 16mm but suffers from strong barrel distortion at the wide end. Build quality feels plasticky yet well-put-together, though the power zoom mechanism is clunky and not user-friendly for manual adjustment. It includes Optical SteadyShot and a useful general-purpose focal range. Best suited for budget-conscious users, vloggers, or as a starter lens.
