Overview

The Sony 20mm f/2.8 pancake lens is extremely compact and lightweight, making Sony APS-C cameras highly pocketable. Optically, it offers good sharpness for a pancake, better than the 16mm f/2.8 and most kit zooms, but it's among the softest E-mount primes. It resists flare well. Build is mostly plastic with metal trim, and the fly-by-wire focus ring is functional but not mechanically linked. Autofocus is quick and quiet. It lacks stabilization.
