Overview

The Sirui Aurora 85mm f/1.4 is a compact, lightweight (540g) and affordable ($500–600) lens with excellent build, weather sealing, and features like a declickable aperture ring and customizable button. Optically, it delivers sharp center resolution at f/1.4, clean bokeh without onion rings, and minimal chromatic aberrations. However, autofocus is slower than competitors like Sony GM or Viltrox, using an STM motor. Corners are softer until f/4, and flare can occur. It suits portrait and street photographers prioritizing value, size, and rendering over speed.
