    Overview

    The Samyang/Rokinon AF 85mm F1.4 offers excellent value, with sharpness that is superb at medium apertures but somewhat mediocre wide open. It has minimal distortion and moderate vignetting correctable in-camera. Build quality is sturdy with metal construction and improved weather sealing (7 gaskets) in the Series II, though early versions had limited sealing. Autofocus is near-silent but a bit slow. It is lightweight and compact. Best suited for portrait photographers seeking an affordable, high-performance 85mm F1.4 lens.
