Overview

The Samsung 50-150mm F2.8 S lens offers outstanding sharpness at the center and very good edges at maximum aperture, with peak performance at f/8. Bokeh is attractive at the telephoto end. Vignetting and distortion are well controlled. Build quality is high, using metal and quality plastics with weather sealing. It is heavy (915g) and balances best on larger bodies like the NX1. The optical image stabilization provides about 4 stops of benefit. It suits NX system users needing a fast telephoto zoom, especially as a partner to the 16-50mm lens.
