The Pentax 04 Toy Lens Wide is a simple, affordable wide-angle lens for Pentax Q cameras, with a fixed f/7.1 aperture and plastic mount. Optically, it produces reasonably sharp images when focus is accurate, but requires precise focusing as the far position goes over-infinity, causing blur. It does not apply in-camera corrections, and on Q7/Q-S1, the image circle is cropped, reducing raw resolution by ~10%. It suits users who enjoy a toy lens aesthetic and are willing to manually focus carefully.
