The HD Pentax D FA 645 Macro 90mm F2.8 ED AW SR is a medium-format macro lens offering excellent sharpness wide open and pleasant bokeh, though it exhibits significant vignetting at f/2.8. Its build includes weather sealing and shake reduction, but the latter is less effective at macro distances. Autofocus is accurate but slow, and continuous AF is unusable. With a 1:2 reproduction ratio, it suits portrait and general photography more than dedicated macro work. It is large, heavy, and expensive, but ideal for handheld use and travel.
