The Panasonic Lumix G Macro 30mm F2.8 is a compact, lightweight macro lens (180g) with a 60mm equivalent field of view, doubling as a standard prime. Optically, it delivers excellent center and corner sharpness from f/2.8 to f/8, peaking at f/5.6, but sharpness drops noticeably from f/11 due to diffraction. It has very low chromatic aberration and low vignetting, though pincushion distortion is relatively high but correctable. Build quality is good with a metal mount and smooth manual focus ring, but lacks weather-sealing and a focus limiter. Autofocus is swift and quiet.
