    The Olympus M.Zuiko 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II R is a compact, collapsible kit lens for Micro Four Thirds, offering a 28-84mm equivalent range. Optically, it delivers good center sharpness when stopped down, but wide-open edges are soft. Build quality is plastic but improved over the original, with reduced wobble and smooth controls. It is lightweight (113g) and ideal for beginners or as a travel lens, though not for low-light or critical sharpness. The redesign eliminated earlier shutter-shake issues.
