The Olympus 30mm F3.5 Macro is a compact, lightweight lens (128g) with a unique 1.25x magnification, exceeding typical 1:1 macro lenses. Optically, it delivers very sharp center resolution wide open, with corner softness that improves by f/8; chromatic aberration is noticeable in high-contrast corners. Color rendition is excellent, but autofocus can be slow and inaccurate in low light. Build is solid plastic with a wide focus ring, but lacks weather sealing, distance scales, or a focus limiter.
