The Nikon AW 11-27.5mm f/3.5-5.6 is a compact, waterproof zoom lens for the Nikon 1 system, offering a 2.5x range (30-74mm equivalent). Optically, it provides decent center sharpness but softer edges at 11mm, with low vignetting and well-controlled chromatic aberrations. Distortion is visible at wide angles. Build quality is highlighted by its waterproofing to 15m, though condensation can occur. Autofocus is fast in good light but slower in low light. It lacks image stabilization. Best suited for outdoor and underwater use with the AW1 camera.
