The Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED is a compact ultra-wide zoom for DX cameras, offering a 15-36mm equivalent range. Optically, it is very sharp in the center with corner softness wide open, improving when stopped down. Chromatic aberration is noticeable at 10mm and 24mm but well-controlled between 12-20mm. Distortion is present, especially at the wide end. Build quality is decent with a metal mount and plastic barrel, though it feels less robust than the 12-24mm. It handles well, with smooth zoom and focus rings, non-rotating 77mm filter thread, and quick AF. Ideal for DX shooters wanting the widest rectilinear zoom, but those prioritizing build may prefer alternatives.
