50mm · f/1.1
The Kamlan 50mm F1.1 MKII offers significantly improved optics over its predecessor, with decent center sharpness wide open and beautiful bokeh thanks to 12 aperture blades. However, corners remain soft, and chromatic aberrations and flare are still noticeable. Build quality is excellent, with a dense all-metal construction and smooth focus ring, though the lens is heavy at over 600g with hood. It suits budget-conscious photographers seeking a fast portrait lens for controlled shooting, but not for fast-paced or critical work.
