The Fujifilm XF 500mm F5.6 is a compact, lightweight super-telephoto prime (1335g) with excellent build quality and weather sealing. Optically, it delivers exceptional sharpness wide open, minimal vignetting, and pleasing bokeh, though chromatic aberration can appear at close focus. Handling is strong with smooth focus and aperture rings, but the aperture ring is prone to accidental adjustment. Autofocus is fast and accurate, especially on the X-H2S.
