The Canon RF-S 7.8mm F4 STM Dual is a compact, affordable lens for creating stereoscopic 3D content on APS-C EOS R7 cameras, targeting VR/Spatial creators. Its dual lenses capture a 63° field of view with an 11.8mm inter-pupillary distance, enabling close-up 3D but limiting the stereo effect to about 0.5m subject distance. Build includes a smooth manual focus ring, 58mm filter thread, and STM autofocus. Optical quality is adequate for processed 3D output, but resolution is lower; high-resolution formats are recommended. It suits specialists in close-up 3D, not general use or immersive 180° VR.
