The Canon Extender EF 1.4x III increases focal length by 1.4x with a 1-stop light loss, offering solid build and fluorine coating for easier cleaning. Optically, it slightly reduces sharpness and increases chromatic aberration, but performs best with high-end L-series lenses, where image quality remains excellent. It improves AF compatibility with newer Canon bodies and f/8 systems. Best suited for wildlife and macro photographers using premium lenses who need extra reach without major bulk.
