Overview

The Canon EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L USM is a 10x zoom popular among press photographers, offering very good center sharpness throughout the range, especially at medium apertures. Weaknesses include soft borders at 50mm and 350mm, and pronounced chromatic aberrations at the wide end. Build quality is excellent with a metal body, fast and quiet ring-type USM AF, but the push/pull zoom design can suffer from lens creep, mitigated by a lock ring. It suits users needing extreme range in a robust, L-series lens, though it is heavy and discontinued.
