Overview

The Canon EF 11-24mm F4L is the world's widest rectilinear full-frame zoom, offering extreme 11mm coverage with minimal barrel distortion, especially from 15-24mm. It delivers very sharp images with good contrast and color, though colors are slightly muted compared to Zeiss/Sigma. Build quality is excellent with weather sealing, but the lens is large and heavy (~2.5 lbs) with a bulbous front element and fixed hood. Autofocus is fast and accurate. Drawbacks include high price and weight. It suits landscape, architecture, and real estate photographers who need extreme, distortion-free wide angles.
