    Overview

    The Tamron 35-135mm f/3.5-4.2 Adaptall-2 (model 22A) is a one-touch zoom with a 1:4 macro mode at 135mm. Optically, it is soft at f/3.5 with noticeable fringing and dispersion, but sharpens at f/5.6 with good contrast and color accuracy. Corner sharpness is very good, distortion low, but vignetting and flare are issues. Build quality is solid with smooth zoom/focus, no creep, and half-stop clicks. It suits travel or general use, especially with a hood, and is easier to handle than the 28-135mm SP.
