The Pentacon auto 135mm f/2.8 MC is a vintage M42-mount telephoto lens known for its smooth bokeh and vibrant color rendering. It is reasonably sharp at f/2.8 and sharpens further when stopped down, though some find sharpness disappointing at wider apertures. Build includes a built-in hood and smooth focus ring, but the hood may not fit perfectly. Two versions exist: a 15-blade “bokeh monster” and a cheaper 6-blade variant; both offer nice bokeh, but the 15-blade version produces rounder highlights. Best suited for portrait and creative photography, offering a distinct vintage look at a low cost.
