    Overview

    The Tokina AF 28-210mm f/3.5-5.6 is an affordable superzoom with decent sharpness at the wide end, comparable to a 28-135IS (FredMiranda), but becomes noticeably soft by 70-100mm and poor at full telephoto, suitable only for small prints (FredMiranda). Autofocus is functional but audible and not USM-fast (FredMiranda). Build is basic; compatibility with newer digital EOS bodies may be problematic, as some Tokina lenses have aperture control issues (MFlenses). It suits beginners or casual users seeking a cheap, all-in-one lens for film or older digital cameras.
