Overview

The Konica Hexanon AR 21mm f/2.8 is a compact, recomputed lens that offers strong central sharpness even wide open, outperforming the older f/4 version in the midfield. However, extreme corners are weaker, with the f/4 having slightly better corners and less lateral CA at f/11. Distortion is well controlled with a slight moustache tendency. Its small size and fast aperture suit photographers needing a wide-angle for close, level subjects, but it is not ideal for architecture due to perspective distortion.
