Overview

The Super-Takumar 28mm f/3.5 (v1 early) is a compact, all-metal M42 lens praised for solid build and smooth mechanics. Optically, it delivers good center sharpness, especially at f/8, with natural colors and contrast, but corners are less sharp than modern lenses. Bokeh can be nervous under certain conditions. Its f/3.5 aperture makes low-light focusing difficult. Best suited for landscape, cityscape, and street photography when stopped down. Not radioactive.
