    Overview

    The Tokina AF 20-35 mm f/3.5-4.5 II is a rugged, metal-barreled ultrawide zoom praised for its sharp center and contrasty images with a lens hood. It is optically weaker in the corners and can exhibit distortion and poor low-tone reproduction. Build quality is excellent, with smooth, precise mechanics. It suits FX and 35mm shooters on a budget, but is not recommended for DX cameras. Autofocus is incompatible with entry-level Nikon bodies like the D40.
