The Revuenon 135mm f/2.8 Special is a well-built M42 lens with solid metal construction and smooth ergonomics. Optically, it is soft in the center and very soft in the corners wide open, with chromatic aberration and low contrast; center sharpness improves by f/4, but corners remain soft even at f/8. Flare handling is poor, producing large rainbow arcs. Bokeh is smooth and pleasant. It offers a warm, characterful rendering ideal for portraits and creative telephoto work on mirrorless cameras via adapters.
