Overview

The Minolta MD 20mm f/2.8 is a compact, all-metal manual focus lens praised for its solid build and ergonomic handling. Optically, it offers good center sharpness from f/2.8 and nice geometry with low distortion, but corners are soft until f/5.6 and midzones remain weak even at f/11 due to field curvature. Vignetting is heavy at f/2.8 and persists to f/11. Flare is common, though sunstars are attractive.
