The Samyang 135mm f/2 ED UMC offers exceptional sharpness and contrast wide open, with very low longitudinal chromatic aberrations and beautiful bokeh, rivaling lenses like the Zeiss Apo Sonnar at a fraction of the cost. Its build is plasticky and less durable than premium alternatives, but the wide focus ring and smooth aperture ring aid handling. The lack of autofocus is a major drawback, especially for fast-moving subjects, making it best suited for tripod-based portrait, studio, or landscape work where manual focus is manageable.
