The Danubia 135mm f/2.8 Auto MC is an all-metal, compact M42 lens with smooth focus and clicky aperture rings, but its rubber focus ring can detach. Optical performance is poor except when stopped down: sharpness is low at wider apertures, with a sweet spot at f/11 for distance and acceptable sharpness only at close focus wide open. Bokeh is smooth, chromatic aberrations are low, and flare is well-controlled by the integrated hood. It suits budget-conscious users who shoot stopped down (f/8–f/11) or analog shooters making normal-size prints.
