Overview

The Pentax SMC 6x7 165mm f/4 Leaf Shutter is a portrait lens with good optics, but its minimum focus of about 5ft is limiting for close-up portraits. The leaf shutter enables flash sync up to 1/500s, but recocking the lens is cumbersome compared to Hasselblad. Build is typical Pentax 67: heavy and robust.
