The StarLens Mirror Lens 900 mm f/8 DX is a compact, lightweight super-telephoto mirror lens for APS-C cameras, but it has significant drawbacks. Optically, it is extremely soft and a poor performer; a 500mm lens cropped yields better results. It lacks autofocus, requiring manual focusing with a tight ring. At f/8, high ISO is needed for fast shutter speeds, and focus is very touchy. It may suit users seeking a fun, budget-friendly way to experiment with extreme telephoto reach, but image quality is poor.
