    Overview

    The Pentacon 150mm f/2.8 (also known as Kaleinar) is a medium format projection lens for Pentacon Six mount. Optically, it is outstanding, with acceptable sharpness at full aperture and noticeable improvement at f/11. However, it is soft at f/2.8, becoming virtually as sharp as the f/4 Tele-Xenar by f/4. The lens is large and heavy (1,100g) with 82mm filters, and lacks a stop-down lever. It suits users needing a fast aperture for low light or brighter viewfinder, but mechanical issues like sticky iris are common.
