    Overview

    The Kowa Prominar MFT 12mm f/1.8 is a fully manual lens with excellent build quality, featuring a metal body and smooth focus ring. Optically, it offers decent center sharpness and low distortion and lateral CAs, but field curvature is a major issue at large apertures, and vignetting is high. It is relatively large and heavy for MFT, with a unique Dual Link Iris for clickless aperture and a filter thread on the hood. This lens suits videographers or photographers who prefer manual control and can work around its optical quirks.
