    The Kowa Prominar MFT 8.5mm f/2.8 is a manual-focus ultra-wide lens with exceptional build quality, featuring a solid metal body and a unique Dual Link Iris for clickless T-stop cine use. Optically, it delivers very low distortion and good center sharpness, but corners are soft at f/2.8 and vignetting reaches 2EV wide open. Chromatic aberrations are well controlled (OpticalLimits). The lens is heavy (440g) and large, with an 86mm filter thread on the hood. It suits photographers who prioritize build and manual control over autofocus and compactness.
