Overview

The Petri 28mm f/2.0 MC is a well-built, compact lens (49mm filter) that delivers excellent contrast and color rendition wide open, with good bokeh and well-controlled chromatic aberration and flare. At f/2, softness from spherical aberration is present but detail remains good; stopping to f/2.8 largely eliminates softness, yielding high resolution and contrast. Corners were not tested. It suits photographers seeking a compact, fast wide-angle with pleasing rendering, especially on mirrorless cameras.
