The Carl Zeiss Jena Prakticar 35mm f/2.4 MC (Flektogon) is a well-regarded manual-focus lens with solid build quality, mixing metal and high-quality plastics. Optically, it delivers excellent center sharpness at close focus, but wide-open performance is soft in the center and midframe, improving by f/4. Vignetting is strong at f/2.4 (2.2 EV) and persists even at f/8 (1.0 EV). Color rendition is cool and precise.
