The Sigma MF 55mm f/2.8 MC XQ Macro is a vintage lens from the early 1970s with a 1:2 magnification ratio. Build quality is excellent, with smooth focusing, though the focus ring travel is short and the front element nearly touches the subject at minimum focus. Optically, it is very sharp even at f/2.8, but bokeh is not as nice as hoped. However, some users report poor optical results at infinity and wide open, and the lens is considered low quality by some.
