    Overview

    The Fujian 35mm f/1.7 is an ultra-cheap manual CCTV lens (about $20) that offers charming, characterful images despite clear optical flaws. It produces swirling bokeh, beautiful vignetting, and interesting flare/haze wide open, but is not sharp across the frame. Build is all-metal but feels plasticky, with imprecise aperture blades and no electronics; focus and aperture rings are reversed on some cameras. It works best on Micro Four Thirds to avoid heavy vignetting. Best suited for experienced photographers willing to shoot RAW and post-process, as it requires precise manual exposure and focus.
