Overview

The Sigma MF 24 mm f/2.8 Super Wide is an old, solidly built lens with a very short minimum focus distance (180mm) that enables close-up shots, though it's not true macro (1:5.3). Optically, it produces nice images but falls short of Minolta primes or Sony zooms in sharpness, microcontrast, and flare control. The petal hood clips onto the filter ring insecurely and prevents lens cap attachment, often leading to lost hoods.
