14mm · f/3.5
The Sigma AF 14mm f/3.5 is a compact but heavy (430g) ultra-wide lens with internal focus and a plasticky aperture ring. Optically, it delivers very sharp center resolution even wide open, but edges are soft until stopped down to f/5.6–f/11; diffraction degrades sharpness at f/22. Distortion is minimal for a rectilinear lens, with well-controlled light falloff. No front filters; rear gel filter slot included. Autofocus is fast but noisy. Suits landscape and architecture photographers who prioritize center sharpness and straight lines.
