Overview

The Yashica Yashikor 28mm f/2.8 Auto is a large, heavy M42 lens with a beautiful build and smooth mechanics. Optically, it is soft at f/2.8, sharpens by f/4, but corners remain poor until f/11; vignetting is dramatic even stopped down, and flare is intense. Bokeh is mostly smooth with bubble-like highlights that become hexagonal when stopped down. It suits collectors or those prioritizing aesthetics over performance, as many other lenses offer better value.
