The Zenitar-K 85mm f/1.4 MC offers a blend of modern sharpness and vintage character. Optically, it is sharp in the center wide open and becomes extremely sharp by f/2.0, with corners softening at f/1.4 but sharpening by f/2.8. It exhibits noticeable vignetting at f/1.4 that disappears by f/2.0. Bokeh is pleasing and smooth with subtle swirling. The lens has lower contrast, giving an organic look, but this makes manual focusing challenging, especially on mirrorless cameras without AF contacts.
