The Zenitar-1 85mm f/1.4 MC offers a balance of modern sharpness and vintage character. It is sharp in the center wide open, becoming very sharp by f/2.0, with corners soft at f/1.4 but critically sharp by f/2.8. Bokeh is pleasing and smooth with subtle swirling, though less radical than Helios lenses. Vignetting is noticeable at f/1.4 but disappears by f/2.0.
