    Overview

The Prakticar 135mm f/2.8 MC Pentacon is an M42-mount East German lens, a copy of a Carl Zeiss Jena design. It comes in two editions: a cheaper 6-blade version and a more expensive 15-blade 'bokeh monster'. Optically identical, both offer nice bokeh, but the 15-blade version produces rounder, smoother out-of-focus highlights, while the 6-blade shows pentagonal bokeh when stopped down. Sharpness is good at f/2.8 and improves when stopped down; colors are vibrant and true. Build is solid with easy M42 adaptation. It suits vintage lens enthusiasts seeking smooth bokeh and good sharpness, especially the 15-blade version for bokeh lovers.
