    Overview

    The Phoenix AF 19-35mm f/3.5-4.5 is a budget ultra-wide zoom, optically identical to Cosina/Vivitar/Promaster versions. It offers decent center sharpness when stopped down, but corners are soft wide open and distortion is noticeable at 19mm. Build is all-plastic except the metal mount, lightweight (~300g), but feels flimsy with a loud focus. It suits amateur photographers on full-frame who need an inexpensive wide-angle for occasional use, but is not recommended for crop sensors.
