Overview

The Walimex Pro 8 mm f/3.5 Fish-Eye CS (also sold as Samyang, Rokinon, Bower) is a budget manual-focus lens for APS-C DSLRs. Optically, it is sharp in the center, especially stopped down to f/5.6, with good edge sharpness. Chromatic aberration is present but correctable. Build quality is solid with a smooth focus ring. It lacks autofocus, but the huge depth of field makes focusing easy. Best suited for creative, occasional fisheye use on crop-sensor cameras; it can also be used on full-frame in crop mode.
